AUSTRALIAN CABERNET SAUVIGNON

CHILEAN MALBEC

Winexpert’s Selection International Series Chilean Malbec has an intense bouquet of damson plums, blackcurrant and violet aroma, which give way to a slight touch of hunting and leather notes. This richly purple coloured Malbec carries the plush texture of ripe tannins with long, soft flavours. Although it ages beautifully, firm tannins and mellow acidity allow this wine to be enjoyed while young.

CHILEAN MALBEC SHIRAZ WITH GRAPE SKINS

Selection International Grape Skins Chilean Malbec-Shiraz displays a balance between ripeness and power, with intensely rich Shiraz grapes for a bold ruby purple colour, deep, dark plum and blackberry aromas showing subtle accents of chocolate. Malbec brings plum, blackcurrant and violet aromas leading to a slight touch of leather notes. Full-bodied and classically, the gripping tannins linger to an elegant finish of toasty oak and spice. Serve with roasted meats, rich stews, or try it with bittersweet chocolate–this wine can stand up or stand alone and will age gorgeously.

CHILEAN MERLOT

Powerful fruit and spice flavour, with mellow tannins for a supple finish. Deserves ageing, but will develop quicker than Cabernet Sauvignon and will stand up to the same food pairings.

CHILEAN PINOT NOIR

Winexpert’s Selection International Series Chilean Pinot Noir is a bright ruby colour with delicate aromas of red berry flavours. Medium bodied and supple with a hint of herbiness, the mouth feel is very elegant with soft tannins and a subtle oak finish. Vibrant and food friendly, this wine is excellent with salmon, roast beef and lamb.

CHILEAN SAUVIGNON BLANC

A gorgeous nose of honeydew, peach and gooseberry is followed by a silky palate with white peach and mineral flavours and a long finish. Bright, crisp and inviting at three months it’s refreshingly complex and tropical, and will develop notes of basil and mint with age.

FRENCH CABERNET SAUVIGNON

An excellent candidate for short term aging due to its moderate tannins. Deep ruby red colour with berries and oak on the palate. Serve with prime rib and steaks.

FRENCH CHARDONNAY

The classic, from the country that made it famous in so many of its high-end white wine blends. Pleasantly dry, with medium acidity balanced with subtle hints of citrus and fruit. FRENCH MERLOT

GERMAN MÜLLER-THURGAU

Developed as a cross combining the lively qualities of Riesling with the viticultural reliability of Sylvaner, Germany’s most widely cultivated grape attains rare heights in aroma and flavour.Winexpert’s German Mller-Thurgau is crisp and clean, with a grapey fruit character, low to medium acidity, and a pleasantly fragrant aroma. Vibrant flavours of crunchy green apples are imparted in its floral residual sweetness, aided by the addition of our F-pack* finishing package.

ITALIAN AMARONE

Italian Amarone is a very intense and complex wine, with a wide array of flavours and aromas. Deep ruby red, this heavyweight wine exudes aromas of sour cherries, dark chocolate, stewed plums, dried fruits, anise, raisins, bitter almond, tobacco, leather and molasses, and has a spicy-earthy bittersweet finish that lengthens on indefi nitely from the huge volume of tannins. Delightful with food, Italian Amarone is often enjoyed by itself, sipped outside of mealtimes with good conversation and good friends.

ITALIAN MONTEPULCIANO

Montepulciano is a vigorous red grape variety widely planted over much of
east-central Italy, capableof creating deeply coloured, rich red wines with blackberry fruit flavours and spicy, peppery tannin levels. Montepulciano generally produces wines that are smooth and mellow yet robust and mouth filling, with dependably high alcohol content. Superb with veal and pasta an Italian gem you won’t want to miss.

ITALIAN PINOT GRIGIO

The uniquely Italian version of the well known Pinot Gris grape, picked earlier in Italy than in all other regions and well before its characteristic loss of acidity at ripening, for a bright, crisp, dry white wine with a gentle perfume and a detectable spiciness. Fresh, fragrant and lively, its flavours include a certain flintiness with hints of citrus and almonds.

ITALIAN SANGIOVESE

SICILIAN NERO D’AVOLA WITH GRAPE SKINS

Selection International Grape Skins Sicilian Nero D’Avola is a deep garnet and shows ripe, berrylike fruit aromas lent complexity by hints of toast and smoke. The palate features flavours of fresh blackberries, dark chocolate and a little bit of anise. There’s sufficient acidity to give it structure, but the overall impression is soft as velvet. The finish is long and smooth, with ripe and appealing fuit and surprising complexity in the nose. A great wine for hard cheeses, rare red meats and stews.

SPANISH TEMPRANILLO WITH GRAPE SKINS

Selection International Grape Skins Spanish Tempranillo shows the black cherry, raspberry, plum and tobacco notes of the varietal, but the wine tends towards lushness and an overflowing of soft, ripe tannins, rather than bright fuit. Vanilla and spice notes in the oak give way to a beguiling hint of dark coffee on the finish. Medium-to-full bodied, it will drink well under three months and will soften impressively after six months to a year in the bottle. Serve with tapas, like grilled chorizo, rich tomoato dishes like Moussaka or even grilled sardines.
